The Vision
His House ministries is about doing for children and their families what they could never do for themselves by presenting Christ through Christian Education. His House Ministries presents Christ through example and discipleship as we follow Christ's command to loose the chains of oppression and bind up the broken hearted. We have discovered that we have been given an entrance into the family through the school setting and have centered our attention on equipping the family to stand firm in the Lord despite the uniquely difficult challenges Guatemalan culture presents.
Ministering through Caring
Often we face challenges bigger than ourselves that allow the Lord to manifest His grace. These are the times when the unexpected happens …a miracle …a smile …a breakthrough, because when we are at our weakest moment - God's love overwhelms the situation. Because we are the trainers overseers and guardians, we have many opportunities to give hugs, cry, laugh and encourage.
Ministering through Giving
His House is more than just a school. We offer dental care, school tuition sponsorship to the poorest of the children, correspondence from and to the sponsors, medical help to our teachers and children, financial and family counseling. Giving is an important part of the ministry, however we are constantly on guard to create people dependent on the Lord rather than us. These avenues of ministry are all seen as tools to introduce families to the Lord and break the many generational curses that hang over families. We have seen and heard of many praise reports of whole families coming to know the Lord through the children at His House. These are great victories considering much of the older generation is steeped in immorality, witchcraft, and idolatry.
Ministering through Education
We are the administrators of a school with 60 children aged 7-16, and are constructing another school with a capacity of 200 children in another community. Along with the traditional curriculum, this new school will offer adult and vocational training, a medical clinic, and feeding center for the needy. We will use the current school as a training center for the other school projects envisioned.
